Yutan, Nebraska is located one-quarter mile north of State Highway 92, just 22 miles west of Omaha.  U.S. Highway 77 is five miles west, and U.S. Highway 275 is about five miles east of Yutan.

Yutan is classified as a City of the Second Class.  The form of government is Mayor/Council, They are elected to serve four year terms.
